ANNUAL MEMBERSHIP MEETING
The meeting will take place immediately following the tournament, upstairs, in the clubhouse (around 1pm).
Of the 9 board of governors, Curt Hayes, Rob Russell and Jack Moulton's terms are up. The three of them can be nominated to run again if they choose. The remaining 6 board members will continue to finish out their 3-year terms. This includes Dean Baker, Kathy Clark, Kelly Duprey-Morgan, Phil LeBlanc, Austin McDonough and Matt Scollin.
Attached is the Board of Governor’s nomination form. You may submit it via email to business@saranaclakegolf.com, with the subject indicating “SLGC Board Nomination”. You can also drop it off at the clubhouse.
Nominations for the three open Board of Governors positions must be submitted no later than Sunday, 8/25/24.
The role of each board governor is to actively participate in the overall affairs of the club from both a business and social aspect. Together, the board of governors make important decisions related to the ongoing club operational and financial needs. If you are interested in being a part of this decision-making process, please consider running for one of these three board-of-governors positions. Additionally, any active member can nominate another active member for one of these three positions. However, before you nominate someone, please ask them if they are willing to accept the nomination. This will save time and ensure people who are willing to be active participants in the affairs of the club will be nominated.
Members attending this meeting will also have the opportunity to vote on proposed changes to the club’s bylaws and other business proposals requiring membership approval. More specifics will be included on the ballot, which will be sent out in early September.
DRAWING FOR A FREE MEMBERSHIP
During the meeting we will be holding a drawing where one lucky member will win a 2025 membership. You must be a current member and also be present at the meeting to win. Last year Craig Wright won the membership.
As a part-owner in this member-owned non-profit corporation, this meeting is the one big opportunity each year for each of you to not only elect board members who will continue to advance the business and social needs of this club, but to voice your thoughts and ideas as well. We would like to thank you for your continued support of “Our” golf club.
