Saranac Lake Hosts Northern New Yorker - Finish 4th

The Saranac Lake Golf Club women placed 4th as they hosted the 82nd annual Northern New York Women's Golf Tournament on Tuesday, July 30th.  The Malone Golf Club took first place honors with a combined score of 545 - finishing ahead of Canton (561), Craig Wood (568), and Saranac Lake (581).  Rounding out the competition were Gouverneur in 5th followed by Massena, Potsdam, Tupper Lake and Ogdensburg.  9 teams competed with 90 golfers attending the event.

Carley Sawyer of Saranac Lake finished second in the individual competition with an 81. She was bested by Craig Wood's Sheila Preston, who fired a 77.  Massena's Rose Bronchetti was third with an 83.

Low net went to Donna McMahon with a 71.  Nancy Gordon of Craig Wood was second with a 72.  Kathy Clark of Saranac Lake had a net 76.
